Amid the growing fear of the Coronavirus breakout, the sales of wireless headsets and webcams in Japan as a great number of people are choosing not to go out of their homes and working while staying at homes.
The sudden hike in the sales of these communication devices is a result of the request that the Japanese government made to the organization to encourage their workers to go for telework instead of visiting the offices. The reason behind this request is to avoid any potential threat of spreading the virus during the rush hours, not only in the offices but also in public places such as bus stops, stations, and airports. Tokyo and other major cities of Japan are likely to be affected by trains and other areas of the public rush.
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe requested on 25th February to the companies and corporate sector to encourage their employees to go for communication devices for working from home. And since then, the sales of these devices have gone doubled as compared to the sales of the last year. This increase in sales also comes with the fact that many companies are hesitating to allow their workers to work from home, mainly due to the corporate culture of the Japanese economy.
A number of telecommunication and cordless headsets retailing companies have already set up their outlets in various districts of Japan, where the consumers can get the headsets of their choice for working at their place safely.
The reports from the retailers show that the tendency of the consumers is quite interesting. They are buying devices not only for themselves but for their friends and colleagues also.
In this regard, a 28-year-old buyer said he has been working from home for almost two weeks now. He said the adaptation of technology has made working easier.
