HTC has started taking pre-orders for its upcoming Vive Cosmos Elite virtual reality wireless headsets. The company recently had announced the release of new devices under its famous Vive Cosmos lineup. It is pertinent to mention here that the Cosmos series of HTC is already in the market, and the users are enjoying it a lot. Recently, the company had announced to launch an advanced version of this series. According to reports, the company will start shipping the pre-ordered headsets to the customers after March 18.
Unlike the previously launched virtual reality headsets of Cosmos series, the latest Vive Cosmos Elite gives the liberty to the users to choose to skip the inside-out tracking. The previous versions of this series had it by default to track the standard Cosmos following the steamVR Lighthouse as well as the all-new Tracking Faceplate. As far as the tracking faceplate is concerned, the new headset would have it preinstalled before it would be shipped to the customers. Moreover, a pair of SteamVR stations and a pair of classic Vive controllers will also be added to the shipped packages.
Fabian Nappenbach, a spokesperson for HTC, said that the upcoming Vive Cosmos Elite would be a successor to already existed Vive Pro gaming headsets. He further said that the hardcore gamers are the primary targeted audience for these upgraded headsets.
Aside from the SteamVR stations, integrated headphones, and Vive controllers, the Vive Cosmos Elite headsets package will also have a free subscription of two months for Viveport Infinity. Moreover, the faceplates of these headsets can also be interchanged easily. The pixel quality of these headsets is free from the screen door effect, which means better and high definition picture quality.
Those who are interested in pre-order of these headsets can go to the official website of HTC and place their order. The company aims to start the shipping of these pre-ordered headsets from March 18.
