The new Samsung Galaxy S21 will not come with any accessories, headphones, or charger in the box. The company says it encourages recycling to ask users to use accessories they had before.
After unpacking the shiny new Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, or Galaxy S21 Ultra, you won't find the wired earbuds or charger plug found in most phones. Samsung is encouraging its customers to reuse their old accessories before the latest Galaxy S is unveiled at the Unpacked event on Thursday, the last day of CES 2021.
The company introduced the Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, or Galaxy S21 Ultra at Thursday's virtual event, starting at $ 800, $ 1,000, and $ 1,200, respectively. All three are currently pre-ordered and will ship on January 29.
By removing the plug from the charger and headset, Samsung encourages its customers to adopt "better recycling habits."
The company also removed support for microSD cards as neither of the new models has the required slot.
During the event, Samsung also presented the wireless Galaxy Buds Pro. These wireless headphones cost $ 200 and are on sale now.
The new Samsung Galaxy S21 series will be available in pastel shades such as Phantom Violet and Phantom Pink. Among the new colors available, there are imaginary shades of blue, gray, and brown.
