Lenovo and Pico Announce to Launch the all-in-one Mirage VR S3 Headset

Lenovo, in collaboration with Pico, has announced the launch of an all-new all-in-one Mirage VR S3 wireless headset for general consumers. The headset can be used by corporate sector professionals as well as students, health professionals, virtual museums, and other purposes. The device manufacturing company, Lenovo, has announced the launch of the device that features 4k resolution display along with an easy to clean faceplate. The headset is designed considering the mass usage of the device due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The launch of the headset is said to be a part of Lenovo’s refocusing on its mixed reality devices.

Lenovo has collaborated with Pico to design the new device. Pico has recently started the shipping of Neo 2 and Neo 2 Eye, the high-end headsets of its own brand. The Mirage VR headset will use 3DoF tracking and a less powerful chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, as compared to Neo 2 that has 6DoF tracking and Snapdragon 845 chipset. But Mirage comes with a 101-degree view, a powerful three hours long battery life, and two 2160 x 1920 display units. It all comes with a comparatively lighter housing of 1.04-pound that is also compatible with glasses.

Lenovo aims to ensure the availability of the device by the third quarter of the current year. Initially, the new VR wireless headset will be launched in the UK, North America, Italy, France, Spain, Japan, and China.
