It's a single-ear wireless headset powered by DECT rather than Bluetooth technology. Many secure offices don't allow Bluetooth at all because it's more easily picked up. This headset is a way to allow staff to remain connected without breaking that rule.
In busy call centers, agents and front desk staff can still hear ringing phones, colleagues or someone approaching their desk. It's lightweight at only 120 grams and easy to wear for an entire shift without digging into your ear.
Internally, it is DECT Security Step C certified and has listed features as FIPS 140-2 and 256-bit AES encryption. The calls are stifled at the moment they make the call and until they hang up.

You can connect to a desk phone using Office Base, depending on the type of phone you have. If you're mostly using your computer or softphone to make and receive calls, it's best to use the UC Version.
