A Detailed Review of Jabra Elite 45h Wireless Headphones

There is a lot of attention to true wireless headphones these days, but that hasn't diminished demand for traditional inexpensive on-ear headphones. Excellent battery life, easier and less intrusive fit and a more robust product suite are just some of the reasons people choose headphones. If you're looking for a new pair of wireless earbuds, the Jabra Elite 45h has impressive specs on paper.

Priced at $ 135 but available online for almost half that price at the time of writing this review, the Jabra Elite 45h is an affordable pair of wireless earbuds with a significantly longer battery life of up to 50 hours. The Elite 45h promises comfort as well as Jabra headsets typical clinical approach to sound and connectivity. Find out how these wireless headphones work in our review.

Despite being made entirely of plastic, the matte finish makes the Elite 45h look and feel pretty good. Indicators on the left and right sides are printed on the earcups for easy reading. Charging buttons and a USB Type-C port are on the right. A slide switch controls Bluetooth power and pairing, and three separate buttons next to the top control playback and volume. There are two microphones on the right earbud to reduce ambient noise from the outgoing audio signal.

The Jabra Elite 45h has 40mm dynamic drivers and a frequency response of 20-20,000 Hz. The headsets use Bluetooth 5 technology only for communication with SBC codec support. There is a multipoint connection for up to two devices simultaneously. The sales package includes a USB Type-C charging cable and a carrying case.

You can use the Jabra Sound + app (available for Android and iOS) to view the full battery level, change equalizer settings, or play a series of "Sounds" - relaxing ambient sounds designed to mask sound. around. It is possible, among other things, to search for headphones (when the required permissions are enabled) and enable or disable the "local tone" function (so you can hear your own voice during calls).

The Jabra Elite 45h has an impressive battery life of 50 hours on a single charge, and my testing shows it is. You should be able to use the headphones for more than 30 hours, and the battery level always dropped from 100 percent to just under 40 percent at a volume level of around 70-80 percent. This suggests that the earbuds can provide around 50 hours of battery life as claimed. That's quite an impressive number for headphones, especially in this price range.

While the Jabra Elite 45h impresses with battery life, convenience and app compatibility, the most important parameter to test is sound quality. Fortunately, this produces reasonable results in this regard, with acceptable audio quality and good voice search performance. While limited to the Bluetooth SBC codec, fine tuning helps the headphones achieve a comfortable quality.
